Learn more about the project

This site shares the learning, insight, and momentum generated by the Trauma-Informed London Project, an ambitious city-wide initiative led by London’s Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) in partnership with Dartington Service Design Lab and Friendhood, combining expertise in research, design, and creative communication.

London’s Violence Reduction Unit is well-placed to drive this work with a proven track record of convening partners and leading city-wide coordination. Its strength lies in building and supporting effective partnerships with young people, youth and community organisations, the NHS, education, the police and local authorities across London.

A city-wide team

Powered by collaboration

This work has been strengthened by a core champions group comprised of 16 members from sectors including policing, health, local authorities, education, voluntary and community organisations, and young people from London’s Violence Reduction Unit's Young People’s Action Group.

Cross-city partnerships

This work has also been shaped by the insight and experience of a wider network of professionals and practitioners through surveys, workshops, and case studies. Their involvement has helped surface promising practice, identify gaps, and co-design practical solutions.
